Updately is run by Gurpreet Singh. He picks the topics, reviews every post before it goes live and handles corrections himself. When you email the site, Gurpreet reads it.
He started Updately after watching friends miss application deadlines for one simple reason: the information was spread across a 40-page PDF, three news sites and a WhatsApp forward that turned out to be wrong. The idea behind the site is plain. One post, one page, everything you need to decide, with the official source right there to confirm it.

- Start from the official noticeWe work from the recruitment advertisement, the scheme guidelines or the board’s own website. News reports can tell us something is out, but they are never our only source for a date or a number.
- Pull out what mattersDates, vacancies, fees by category, age limit, eligibility and selection process go into tables at the top, so you can check them in under a minute.
- Check it twiceBefore publishing, every date, figure and link is checked against the official document. If something cannot be confirmed, we say so instead of guessing.
- Update when it changesDeadlines get extended and corrigendums get issued. When that happens, the post is updated and the change is noted.
